Carrot & Apple Juice

Ingredient: a carrot, a green apple, a small chunk of fresh ginger, a spoon of honey and a glass of water. Cut the carrot, apple, ginger into small pieces. Put the into juicer. Serve immediately.

Carrot contains beta-carotene, vitamin K, fiber and chromium.

  • Beta-carotene is converted into antioxidant vitamin A. It’s good to strenghten cells againts viruses, fight cancer, prevent heart disease and aid vision.
  • Vitamin K is for bloodclotting and healing wounds. Without vitamin K, one will bleed to death [urggg].
  • Fiber aids digestion and keep heart healthy.
  • Chromium stabilizes blood sugar level so it’s good for controlling diabetes and sugar cravings.

Apple contains pectic, flavonoid and malic acid.

  • Pectin binds cholesterol, toxins and heavy metals and speeds their excretion thus have cleansing effect.
  • Flavonoid is anti-inflammatory thus help easing allergic reactions and inflammatory conditions such as arthritis.
  • Malic acid helps the body to use energy efficiently.

Ginger boosts the circulation and helps the body to detoxify. It is used as remedy for colds and bronchial infection (try ginger tea). Ginger also counteract nausea for pregnancy and travel sickness.

    Hah…I stand by carrots with celery, apple with celery or a combination of three.

    Milk plus green apple taste nice. But most like to mix milk with red apples.

    In Southeast Asia, like my country Malaysia or Sinapore where i worked in, fresh fruit juices bought outside are sometimes mixed with sucrose. So try to find out which seller does this & avoid them.
